Frequently Asked Questions

You Have Questions—We’ve Got Answers!

1. What is gamification, and how does it work in this program?

Gamification makes learning fun and rewarding—just like a game! Teens earn XP (experience points) for completing lessons, challenges, and activities. They can climb the leaderboard, unlock achievements, and earn prizes while mastering essential life skills. This keeps them motivated, engaged, and actively learning instead of just passively watching lessons.

2. My teen already learns life skills at home. Why do they need this program?

That’s amazing—you’re already ahead of the game! Level Up is designed to complement what you’re already teaching at home by providing a structured, engaging, and independent way for teens to learn life skills.

The teen piece helps reinforce skills like time management, decision-making, and leadership—things that can be tough to practice in everyday life.

The parent piece gives you expert guidance, strategies, and a support system so you’re not teaching life skills alone.

Some parents join just for the coaching and resources, while others enroll their teens for the full experience—it’s totally up to you!

3. Is this program religious or secular?

The curriculum is secular, but we offer optional faith-based activities, like a Bible Study club, for families who want to incorporate their faith. Participation in these activities is completely optional, and the program is welcoming to all families.

***As a Christian business, we do come from an approach that is founded in Biblical Principles, and doesn't go against the teachings in the Bible.

4. Can my teen earn high school credit?

Yes! If your teen participates in the teen program they will earn elective credits for their transcripts, plus a certificate of completion to showcase their progress. Credits can range from 1-5 credits per year. A breakdown of course hours and learning outcomes is available for parents who need documentation for their homeschool records.

5. Is this program fully virtual?

Yes! Everything is 100% virtual, so your teen can participate from anywhere. Lessons, challenges, and community activities are all accessible online, and the parent coaching is virtual as well.

6. How does Level Up work for parents vs. teens?

Level Up is separate but connected—there’s a program for parents and a program for teens, and you can choose to do one or both!

For Parents: You get access to coaching, workshops, and a private community where we guide you through teaching life skills in a way that fits your family. You’ll get expert advice, step-by-step tools, and support from other parents.

For Teens (Optional Add-On): If you enroll your teen, they’ll get a gamified, self-paced experience where they earn XP, complete challenges, and apply real-world skills in an engaging way—without nagging or micromanaging from you.

📌 Many parents join just for the coaching, while others enroll their teen to make life skills learning hands-off and fun!

7. Can I join just for the parent coaching without the teen program?

Yes! The parent coaching is the core of the program because we believe YOU are the most important teacher in your teen’s life.

If you just want the parent coaching, training, and community support—you can absolutely join without enrolling your teen in the gamified program. But if you’d like your teen to engage in structured challenges, earn XP, and learn independently, you can add on the teen piece at any time.

8. What if my teen isn’t interested? Will I still get value?

Yes! Even if your teen isn’t excited about learning life skills right now, you’ll get the tools, strategies, and confidence to guide them—without frustration or arguments.Inside the parent coaching, you’ll learn:

✅ How to motivate a resistant teen to take life skills seriously.

✅ How to teach life skills naturally in everyday moments.

✅ How to navigate tough conversations (without pushback).

Many parents join just for the coaching, then later find their teen gets curious and wants to join in!

9. If I get the teen program, do I need to be involved?

Nope! The teen piece is completely self-paced and independent—so you don’t have to teach anything or add extra work to your plate.

However, the parent coaching piece will give you tools to reinforce what they’re learning if you want to bring these skills into everyday life.
